The Basque Club of North Queensland has just bought a clubhouse and is putting on a small-scale "Jai Day" this July 9th, to correlate with Running of the Bulls in San Fermin. Lael Uberuaga, one of the Oinkari Basque Dancers, has been selected from a worldwide pool of applicants to travel to Australia and teach Basque dance and culture for five weeks leading up to the festival. She will be joining Garikoitz Otamendi from the Basque Country, whom she taught with last summer at Udaleku in Boise. Congratulations, Lael!
