´Caserío Longa Nagus´ dates back to 1388, and is a former SEL dependent upon the Collegiate of Zenarruza. A SEL was a circular area dedicated to livestock activities. In 1783 this Caserío saw the birth of Francisco Tomás de Longa Anchia y Urquiza, known as ´General Longa´, who played an important role in the War of Independence and became Captain General of Valencia. It is now fully refurbished and suitable for use in rural tourism, with 6 twin rooms each with bathroom, TV and central heating, one of which is suitable for disabled people. It has a lounge with a low fire and a kitchen/dining area with pleasant views. Situated in the town of Mallabia, at the foot of Mount Oiz, allowing visitors the opportunity to go rambling, cycling or horseriding, with the beach and sea just 20 minutes away by car.
