GENERAL EXPLANATION OF BOGA (Basque on-line)

If you are Basque but you do not speak the language or if you are not but you would like to learn Basque, or if you speak it but you want to improve it or make sure that you do not lose it, now you have a great opportunity. You can learn Basque at home on the computer with BOGA.

BOGA is a Basque language program to help you learn the language through the internet. BOGA was created by the Basque Government and many people in the Basque Country and in many other countries use it. It used to be on a Cd-rom but now it is easier since it is on-line. 

If you are interested in learning, all you need to do is send a $50 check (for one semester) to the NABO treasurer Grace Mainvil to: 705 Nickaus Ln, Eagle, Idaho 83616. Send her an email with your name, last name, email, telephone number and address. She will let me know once she receives the check. Then write me an email asking about BOGA at izaskunkortazar@gmail and I will create your account and assign you a teacher that will be in touch with you every week. If you already speak some Basque let me know so I can enroll you in a higher level. The teacher will answer your questions, correct your writings and he/she will call over the phone, or through Skype… so you can practice your oral skills.

Some student will learn Basque trough BOGA since they can not attend classes or there are not classes where they live. Some other students are taking classes but they will work with BOGA as well. If you are taking regular classes, just let me know who your instructor is and I will create an account for you and you will be her/his student. You will pay for the classes directly to your instructor, not for BOGA. The instructor and the Basque Center decide the amount.

STEPS: To start with BOGA go to www.ikasten.ikasbil.net and write your username and password on the upper left corner. (I will send you this information by email).  Then you will see (My courses, chose BOGA 1-a. If the screen is in Basque, you can go to the right up corner and change it to English.

BOGA is divided by numbers or letters (1-a, 1-b, 1-c, 2-a, 2-b, 2-c). Each piece is called ESTRATOA and it is divided in 10 “saio”. In order to finish 1 estrato you will need more or less 30 hours. Every estrato has the estrato activities, plus a review and the exam. The grammar explanations are in English. You instructor will send you more material when you finish the old ones. You should work at home for a minimum of 3 h a week, so you will see the progress. In order to learn a language you need to be in touch with it for a long time. Is the same as being in a good shape. You will not be in shape by going to the gym once a month for 30 minutes.

You can do BOGA at work, at home, at the university, on your I-phone… All you need is a computer and internet. Have always a note book with you and write your questions there.

Optional: If you install Firefox, the computer will work better with BOGA.

Goian dagoen orri paperaren marrazkia tutoreak zuzentzeko bidalitako idazlanaren sinboloa da.

-OHARRAK: Tutoreak gorde nahi duen informazioa eta oharrak idazteko. (Ikaslearen telefonoa, emaila, aurrerapenak, akatsak...)
-SCORM ESLEIPENAK: Ikasleari hurrengo estratoa, testa eta birpasa bidaltzeko.

Aukeratu bidali nahi duzun materiala eta egin klik ESLEITU botoian. Txarto egin baduzu eta materiala kendu nahi baduzu, egin klik esleitu duzun materialean ( X ) eta desagertuko da.

* IKASLEEK IDATZI DITUZTEN IDAZLANAK ZUZENTZEKO:
-Ikaslea dagoen urratsera joan (Adibidez:  1-a-en)
-Ezkerreko zutabean TXOSTENAK botoian klik egin.
-ZUZENDU GABEKO IDAZLANAK botoian klik egin.
-ZUZENDU botoian klik egin, nahi duzun ikaslearen idazlana zuzentzeko.
-Leiho bi agertuko dira: Goikoa ikaslearena eta behean zure zuzenketak idazteko.
(Zuzenketak egiteko koloreak, zenbakiak, aurpegiak, link, azpimarratu.. erabili ahal duzu.

Zuzenketarako teknikak:
-Irakasleak zuzendu ahal ditu akatsak.
-Ikasleak bere lana zuzentzeko laguntza:
(Aukera honekin ikasleak hobeto ikasiko du)
-1. Koloreak erabili (Adibidez: Berdea: aditza txarto badago, Gorria= Ergatiboa edo –K falta bada, horia= singularra eta plurala, arrosa= ordena, morea: ikasleak zalantza hori klasean galdetzeko...).                                                   2. Zenbakiak (1: aditza txarto badago, 2= Ergatiboa edo –K falta bada, 3= singularra eta plurala, 4= ordena, 5= ikasleak zalantza hori klasean galdetzeko...)

-BIDALI
-Ikasleak zuzenketak egin eta gero idazlana inprimatu eta klasera eraman du edo ikasleak bere idazlana zuzendu ahal du eta berriro bidali tutoreari.
*Mesedez, BOGA ikasleak zure klaseetara ez badoaz astero egon harremanetan haiekin telefono edo Skypen mintza lantzeko.
