Hosting Euskara &/or Basque culture instructors

NABO regularly receives inquiries that we post here for our membership's information.  In most cases, we don't know these folks personally, but we've had excellent luck in hosting people from the Basque country.  Each community/organization can take the initiative to contact the person.  It can be a great way of facilitating the learning of Euskara.  For more information contact euskara@nabasque.org

EUSKARA INSTRUCTOR.  Nire izena Eva da eta orain dela oso gutxi hasi nintzen euskara klaseak ematen Gasteizko IKA euskaltegian, otsailean hain zuzen ere. Ez dakit euskara irakasleak behar dituzuen ala ez, nola funtzionatzen duzue, etab. Horregatik mail hau bidaltzen dizut, informazioa jasotzea nahiko nukeelako. Euskara klaseak atzerrian ematea esperientzia polita iruditzen zait eta beharbada, atzerrira joateko prest egongo nintzateke. Ez dakit, kontatuko didazu nire asmoa posiblea den edo ez.  Eskerrik asko eta agur bero bat,
--Eva, email

EUSKARA INSTRUCTOR. Euskal Herriko, 25 urteko neska bat naiz eta ingelesa hobetzekotan, Estatu Batuetara joatea pentsatzen ari naiz.  Nolabait, autofinantzatu egin nahiko nuke bidaia, posible balitz bertan lanen batean arituz, edo.  Bestalde, egonaldia ere posible balitz, bertakoen artean igaro nahiko nuke (kalean, nekazal famili batean...). Etxekoei nere laguntza osoa eskeiniko niekete eta nere gastuak neronek ordaindu.  Eta horrexegatik bidaltzen dizuet email hau: eskertuko nizuekete, mesedez, ni hartzera prest egongo litzatekeen familiren bat ezagutu eta haren berri emango bazenizkit.

EUSKARA INSTRUCTOR. Usue Aliende naiz, pasadan urtean udarako lan bila ibili zen neska eta aurten ere zerbait badaukazu esan iezadazu. Ez dut denbora aldetik limiterik eta aurreko urtean moduan, ez dut dirurik kobratu nahi. Egiten duzun edozer asko eskertzen dizut.  --Usue Aliende at: equiss@hotmail.com

WORKER. I am a young basque man from Iruña / Pamplona (Nafarroa). My name is Aitor and I am 28 years old.  I would like to go to USA to learn English and work there for a few months.  I am looking for a job there, so I have thought that maybe in your Euskal etxea there might be someone who could help me. I know that nowadays is not the best moment to look for a job with this world crisis. I'm selfemploy as house painter here but i wouldn't care to work in another things.  Thanks for reading my e-mail  and looking forward to hearing from you soon.  Bye, gero arte.    --Aitor  pirineosos@hotmail.com

EUSKARA INSTRUCTOR.  My name is Oihana Andión, a 25 years old translator. These last years I’ve been seeking information on Basques who had to go to USA and on how they lived there afterwards.  It’s very interesting to me, to see how our culture survived and our language is still spoken.  I was born in the Basque Country and I still live there, but I would like to know the way you keep our Basque culture alive and how it lives together with the American culture.  Is there any way I can know your center and work together in some way? I would really like to go there and know the American culture too.  I have experience on teaching languages to both adults and children, particularly Basque and English, and I’ve worked as a translator for some years.  --Oihana oihanamandarina@msn.com
