Home, Idaho.  Process of purchasing and renovating as funds permit.   Building will be made handicap accessible upon renovation.   Use will be for Club meetings and small civic group meetings upon renovation.  The facility will have a kitchen and bathrooms and meeting room. Clubhouse is 1450 sq ft and has and office in the facility with a computer.  Use  will be for Club meetings and small civic group meetings,  with a kitchen and bathrooms.

Activities:
>Membership Dinner in January
>Quarterly Member Dinner or Social
>
Annual Basque Dance in March
>Annual Picnic: 1st Saturday in August.
>Various Community Activities

Communication: Newsletter sent out quarterly

Kids Dance Group:     Etxeko Gazteak    8-12 children   (learn dances, songs & culture)

Connections:  Club has good support from the community and surrounding areas.

Greatest strengths:
>Basque history in the community very strong since the early 1900’s
>Old Basque Hotel & Bengoechea Hotel located on site (Bengoichea Hotel on the National Historical Registrar)

Greatest weakness:  Lack interest and priority and support from local Basque descendants on promoting the heritage.

Greatest opportunity:  To create and area in the community to pass on and preserve Basque culture and history.  Location of Club property and clubhouse being an area of the community that had two Basque hotels (one being the Bengoechea) where a large number of Basques would get together and herders would come to stay.  Turn the area into a destination for people to view Basque culture.

Greatest Threat:  Lack of interest from Basques and the community.

NABO assistance with knowledge of ways to promote and achieve the Club’s goals.

Future Goals:
>Possible addition of large hall to hold dances and events
>Collaborate with individuals/groups/philanthropists in obtaining and restoring the Bengoechea Hotel back to its original state and use to display Basque history and artifacts for the public to view.
