Nere was born in Errenteria, Gipuzkoa, and lives in Boise where she is married to a local Basque. Nere Lete got her degree in Basque Philology at the University of Deusto and a Masters of Fine Arts (major in translation) at University of Iowa.<br><br> She has worked as a translator both in the Basque Country and the United States. Her experience includes dubbing script-adaptations, and productions in children&#8217;s programs for TV, translating well-known Basque author Bernardo Atxaga into English, as well as teaching Basque in the Basque Country. She came to America in 1988 where she also taught Basque and Spanish at the University of Nevada, Reno, University of Iowa, and Boise State University.<br><br> She has served as interpreter for Basque authorities when in Idaho as well as for the governor and high representatives of the state of Idaho.
