A solidarity gesture of Basque cooks and artists with the project of the labor insertion of indigenous woman

Basque cooks and artists of Bidasoa (in Gipuzkoa) have oganized a charity dinner and exhibition of painting and sculpture to help the project of the Basque Taupadak NGO, for the construction of a tourist center in the Bolivian amazonian forest. This center is going to be built for being managed by indigenous women. Previously, this NGO will offer a technical education and specialized qualification for their insertion in the labor world.

Cooks and artists of Bidasoa (Gipuzkoa) have organized a charity dinner that will take place the 6th of October at the BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Center). The founds will be designated to the project 'Tourist development for indigenous women' of the Basque Taupadak NGO.

The main objective of this project is the construction of a tourist center in San Ignacio de Moxos, a little town of the Bolivian Amazonia.

Education and labor insertion

Whit this project, many women, preferably indigenous, will dream about a new future. Taupadak will offer to them a technical and specialized education. The County Council of Gipuzkoa will finance the construction of Arajuruana Technical Institute and the old Music School of San Ignacio is going to turn into a Technical Institute. 

The construction of the hotel complex has already started thanks to the collaboration of different Basque City Councils. The construction is going to be totally financed by the County Council of Gipuzkoa but not the rest of the equipment.

The solidarity gesture of Basque cooks and artists

In the charity dinner, famous artists of Txingudi (in Gipuzkoa) and different City Councils are going to collaborate disinterestedly.  

Artists like Nestor Basteretxea, Javier Sagarzazu, Carmen Maura, Alvaro Machinbarrena, Susana Zaldívar, Aiert Alonso, Ramon Roteta and Xavier Sagarzazu will sell their works. Gorka Txapartegi, Ramon Roteta, Washed Iñigo, Bixente Muñoz, Inaxio Muguruza and Koldo Saline are going to prepare this dinner.
