Sociolinguistics Cluster members
Any organisation, association, company, group or private individual that is connected with or interested in the development of sociolinguistics knowledge can join the Sociolinguistics Cluster; in other words, university faculties or departments, sections of the general administration, sections of the provincial administration or town councils, consultancies or companies, research institutes, professional associations, training organisations, associations or individuals.
The Members form the General Assembly, which appoints the executive body, i.e. the Governing Board, and the Chairperson.
In the composition of the Governing Board an effort has been made to seek a balanced representation of the members of the different fields –universities, administrations, companies, associations–, the objective being to achieve the greatest neutrality possible in the executive work corresponding to the Governing Board.
A Technical Secretariat reports to the Governing Board and is made up of contracted staff. It is responsible for handling the Cluster’s infrastructure and day-to-day work.
