Elvira Cenoz
was born in Saturrarán, Gipuzkoa in 1931. In 1971 she immigrated to the United States when her uncle left her property in Susanville, California. In 1980 she married Eusebio Cenoz and moved to  Gardnerville, Nevada where the couple owned and ran the Overland Hotel. After Eusebio’s death, Elvira has continued to run the Overland.

In her interview Elvira talks about the Overland Hotel. She is from a family of  restaurant owners in the Basque Country and she speaks of the basic principles she learned from them that have guided her business practices in the United States.  She also describes Gardnerville's Basque atmosphere.
