Josu Aldekoaotalora was born in a Baserri called Bargundia in 1947 in Iurreta Bizkaia. Josu played pelota for six years in Philippines and then in Indonesia for two years. He married to a Basque girl and then they decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada to play jai-alai there until it was closed in 1975. The wife became a lawyer and they moved to Reno, Nevada where they live quite happy.
