Support the Basque Museum

There are many different ways that you can help support the Basque Museum & Cultural Center.

Become a Member

Our members are significant sources of support to the Museum, both in their participation in our events and programs, but also through their annual contributions. Members are the first to receive news and information about the Museum and our activities. Members also sustain the vision and the mission of the Museum for present and future generations. Click here for more information and member benefits.

Send a Memorial

Many of our members and friends acknowledge their loved ones through generous donations to the Basque Museum in honor of or in memory of their loved one - or to commemorate a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary. Contributions are thoughtfully used by the Basque Museum as an expression of the care in which they were sent. Click here to create a memorial online.

Attend Our Events

Each year the Basque Museum sponsors fundraising events, such as our annual spring dinner/auction and the popular WineFest held in August. Participation in these events is always fun and donations to our fundraising efforts are always appreciated. Click here for more information on upcoming events.

Visit the Museum Store

Making a purchase in the Basque Museum Store is a terrific way to support the Basque Museum as well as locate unique and educational gifts for every occasion. Many products in both our main store and our online store are purchased directly from the Basque Country - to bring you many items unavailable anywhere else in the U.S. Click here to visit our online store.

Contribute to an Employee Giving Program

Employers often establish benefit programs for their employees that include matching donations for 501(c)(3) contributions. If your company offers such a program, your donation to the Basque Museum could be worth twice as much with a matching donation from your employer. If your company does not have such a program, contact the Basque Museum and we will work with your employer to help setup a program. For more information on existing programs or how to participate in employee giving, call the Basque Museum at (208) 343-2671.

Make a Donation

All monetary contributions are used to continue the projects and programs of the Basque Museum. The next time you consider making a donation to your favorite charity or to a deserving not-for-profit organization, please consider supporting the Basque Museum. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the legal limits. Click Here to make a donation.

Name the Basque Museum as a Beneficiary

The Basque Museum and Cultural Center has developed a comprehensive Planned Giving program that allows you to support our work for years to come. Through your estate, you can ensure a lasting treasure will enrich lives throughout the community for present and future generations.

Be Our Voice

Encourage your family and friends to support the Basque Museum & Cultural Center through one of the many opportunities we offer above. It takes dedication and commitment on the part of each one of us to preserve this lively, dynamic, living culture. Our future depends not only the work of the Basque Museum, but also upon the resources of the community - our members and friends. Share the vision. Continue the legacy.

Planned Giving

With the goal of meeting the opportunities and challenges in the years ahead, the Basque Museum & Cultural Center has created a Planned Giving Program. Your planned gift will help protect and enhance a lasting treasure that enriches lives throughout our community and far beyond.

Methods of Planned Giving:

  • Gifts of Appreciated Stock
  • Life Insurance Benefits
  • Will or Trust Bequests
  • Multi-year Pledges
  • Large Memorials or Honorariums
  • Charitable Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts

Each of these methods of giving may provide significant income tax savings as well as the possibility of estate tax savings. Your professional financial planner should be consulted regarding what method would best fit your specific circumstances.

How Your Planned Gift Will Help

If a donor wishes, he or she may direct a donation to benefit either:

  1. The Perpetual Operating Fund-used to fund annual operating expenses, or
  2. The Capital Fund-used to fund capital improvement and expansion projects

It is our hope that you will view the Basque Museum and Cultural Center as a part of the legacy you leave your loved ones, friends, and the many others who enter our doors to learn about and experience the Basque culture. If you would like more in-formation about planned giving, please call the Basque Museum at (208) 343-2671.

We sincerely thank you for your continued consideration and support.
