Text Box: Zubi Zuri (A Bridge to You), is the fourth Basque Cultural Day organized by the Basque Educational Organization with help of all its sponsors. The goal of Zubi Zuri can be found in its name. It is our hope, with the help of our guest speakers and performers, that we are able to build a bridge that will allow you to learn more about Basque history, art, and culture.
Zubi Zuri will be a whole day event with speakers beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the afternoon, followed by dinner and a very special cultural performance by Juan Mari Beltran and his band. Please plan on arriving early and staying late to allow yourself to take in all Zubi Zuri has to offer. The topics for Zubi Zuri are diverse and intriguing, and we are especially honored to have such a knowledgeable group of speakers.
Special thanks to the organizations Text Box: and individuals who made this day come together so beautifully. The Basque Cultural Center, The Center for Basque Studies, the Basque International Cultural Center, and the North American Basque Organizations played significant roles in assembling the speakers and performers for Zubi Zuri.
At every BEO meeting over the past two years the BEO has dedicated itself to making this Basque Cultural Day one which caters to broad range of people. We believe that Zubi Zuri has it all, from Basque American history to Basque art to discussions on the role Basque culture and other cultures will play in a globalized world. Please join us at the Basque Cultural Center for this unique celebration of Basque Culture.
