Mary Labarry lived in Eureka, Nevada in the Colonnade Hotel with her parents until her marriage. While they lived there, they formed close bonds with the sheepherders who passed through Eureka on their way from Elko to Tonopah for the winter.

In this interview Mary speaks of her father's ranching and taking care of the hotel, as well as information about the herders: their habits, sports and the great food served at the Colonnade. Mary also discusses the difference in guest status between herders and tourists.
