Basque Cultural Day

Saturday, November 9th, 2013

San Francisco Basque Cultural Center

This year's Basque Cultural Day will feature themes from the documentary film GAZTA ZATI BAT (A Peace of Cheese).  The film explores self-determination  through the story of villagers of the Idiazabal region, famous for its cheese.   These villagers revived their local  rural sports and  worked towards a path of self-determination for the Basque Country , both with support from their friends in Scotland.  The cheese of Idiazabal is added as an essential ingredient to this  mix

Admission to the program is free of charge with the exception of the evening dinner.
