Pete & Freda's Family Style Lamb Barbecue

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Boise, Idaho - - Former Idaho Secretary of State, Pete Cenarrusa and his wife, Freda, announced the 1st Annual "Pete & Freda's Family Style Lamb Barbecue" to be held Wednesday, October 6, 2004 starting at 5:30 on the historic Basque Block in downtown Boise. The dinner will benefit the Cenarrusa Center for Basque Studies, a new organization was founded to preserve, educate and connect the Basque community and the rest of the world through research, projects and educational opportunities for all. The Cenarrusa Center is a joint project between educators, business and cultural groups from the Basque community in Boise, Idaho in conjunction with Boise's Basque Museum and Cultural Center.
The setting for Pete and Freda's Family Style Lamb Barbecue will include sheep wagons, outside cooking, music, and dancing. Dinner will feature authentic Basque camp cooking and more for all ages. Tickets are $50 per adult, $75 per couple, $15.00 for kids 6 to 12 years of age. Children under the age of 5 years old eat free!
